Ginny graduated from Gulfport High School in 1963. She married Tim Bragg in June of 1968 following his military service. Soon after, they founded Central Industrial Supply, Inc. For 48 years, the company prospered under her watchful eye. Ginny loved to shop, collect antiques, and work in her flower garden. She was a reluctant pianist and enthusiastic animal lover. She enjoyed traveling and visiting the beach. Her greatest loves called her "Mum Mum" and she adored time spent with her grandchildren. Ginny's proudest accomplishment was raising a strong, healthy and beautiful family.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Bragg; parents, Clarence and Erma Lee Weldy; and brother, Larry Weldy, Sr. She is survived by her children, Michael "Ty" Tyrone Bragg (Kim), C. Suzanne "Suzy" Bragg Ellison (Brent), and Stephen "Steve" Timothy Bragg (Laura); grandchildren, Timothy James Bragg, Taylor Morgan McManus Houston (Sam), Jack Thomas Bragg (Shelby), Loren Michael Bragg, Peyton Lauren McManus, Kathryn Ann Bragg, Blake Alexander Roche', Grayson Trae McManus, Stephen Bryce Roche', and Riley Stephen Bragg; great grandchild, Travis Jayce Cole Alexander; sister, Erma Sue Hensarling (Ben); sisters-in-law, Debbie Weldy, Patsy Jean Elrod (Eddie) and Judy Karen Dietrich (Kevin); brother-in-law, Freddy Charles Bragg (Elda), and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Virginia will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, AL 35115. Her funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with a committal service to follow at 11:00 AM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115. Bro. Evie Megginson will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers are Timothy Bragg, Jack Bragg, Loren Bragg, Grayson McManus, Blake Roche', Bryce Roche', Riley Bragg and Brent Ellison.
The family requests any memorial donations be directed to Raleigh's Place of Chilton County, Shelby Emergency Assistance, or Owens House of Shelby County.
