Sarah Rebecca (Ladd) Glascoe

Sarah Rebecca Ladd Glascoe, 82, a recent resident of Montevallo, Alabama passed away October 19, 2024 in her home with her daughter and son-in-law at her side. She was born March 19, 1942 in Linwood, Mississippi, county of Neshoba, to Sidney Hobison Ladd, Sr. and Annie Ethel (Martin) Ladd.

Sarah was a long time resident of Mobile, Alabama where she built a career at Ford Motor Credit. She was also a longtime church member at Oak Park Church of God.

She is survived by her daughter, Candice Leigh (Allen)Higdon of Montevallo, Al.; sister, Blonzell (Ladd) Brown of Decatur, Ms.; brother-in-law, Harold Glascoe of Flowood, Ms.; sisters-in-law, Delores Dell (French) Ladd of Brandon, Ms. and Ivanna Glascoe of Norfolk, Va.; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Erin Leigh Higdon, James Caleb Higdon, and Sydney Elise Higdon.

Sarah is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Richard Benjamin Glascoe; father, Sidney Hobison Ladd, Sr.; mother, Annie Ethel (Martin) Ladd; son, Richard Scott Glascoe; brothers, Ernest Ladd, Howard Ladd, Billy Joe Ladd, and Sidney Ladd, Jr.; sister, Annie Lois (Ladd) Skinner; brother-in-law, Carroll Glascoe; and sister-in-law, Janet Glascoe.

A committal service for Sarah will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 12:30PM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, Al 35115.
