Rita Faye Bice

Mrs. Rita Faye Bice, age 82, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Rita was born June 30, 1938 in Boothtown AL, to John and Mary Goggins. In 1954 Rita Faye married the love of her life James M. Bice and they settled down to start a family. Rita was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a great-great grandmother. She found much joy in the simple things such as raising her ever growing family, tending to her garden, and speaking with her Lord.

Rita will join in Heaven her parents, John Luther and Mary Jane Daily Goggins; son, James Blaine Bice; and great-grand daughter, Summer.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, James Bice; children, Gary Bice (Tammy), Donna Bice Campbell (Wayne Waldrop), Phyllis Bice Frederick (Bryan), Monica Bice, and Dennis Bice (Carol); 11 granddaughters; 2 grandsons, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great - great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rita was a kind woman with a big heart. She always offered a helping hand, a kind word of advice, or a hug to those in need. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Rita will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo, Alabama followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm. A committal service will occur Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Elliotsville Cemetery, HWY 119 S, Alabaster, AL 35007.
