Joseph "Mickey" Mitchell Stange

Joseph "Mickey" Mitchell Stange, age 78, of Calera, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Mickey was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a steel fabricator and co-owner of Vandiver Steel Fabrication. He loved to fish and hunt even though he wasn't very good at it. He was a wonderful Dad and Papa. He was loved by all and Roll Tide!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Stange and Mitchell Irene Driver Stange; his wife, Glenda Sue Stange; brothers, Billy, Bobby and Donnie; and sister, Faye. He is survived by his daughters, Maranda "Mandy" Mims (Brian) and Brandi Bailey; grandchildren, Chanin Beasley (C. J.), Destiny Bailey, Bethany Hancock, Lakeyn Mims and Mitchell Slade Bailey; great-grandchildren, Trager Pruitt, Arizona Beasley, Willow Lodge and Waco Lodge; brothers, J. E. Driver (Merle), Pee Wee Stange, and Larry Stange (Rhonda); sisters, Gail Stange and Jackie Brooks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Mickey will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115, followed by a reception from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Attire is casual.
