Jimmy Leon Brown, age 69, of Brierfield, Alabama passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Jimmy was born in Florence, Alabama to Nellie and Mathie James Brown. He grew up in Bushnell, Florida then moved his family to Stigler, Oklahoma in 1980. Around 1993, Jimmy moved to Alabama where he worked in the underground coal mines. He loved his grandkids, horses, his tractor and the outdoors. He was a wonderful father and Pops, and he will be terribly missed.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie and Mathie James Brown; and brothers, Joe Brown, Bobby Brown, and M. J. Brown. He is survived by his daughters, Jamie Keizer (Travis) and Jennifer Hogan (Brett), both of Alabaster; grandchildren, Ashlin Hogan, Jackson Keizer, Gracie Hogan and Brayden Keizer; spouse, Brenda Brown of Brierfield; four sisters, Virginia Looney, Sally Fudge, Pearl Cobb, and Emily Bell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
