At a young age Ruth met and married Harold Ervin who affectionately loved David and became a loving father to him.
David grew up in Duarte California where he attended School.
David later met and married Joyce Myers Martinez and to this Union was born 1son David Martinez Jr and two daughters Deborah and Damora Martinez.
At the age of 19 with the guidance and direction of his father-in-law David started driving diesel trucks. He was a proud truck driver for over 50 years. David took pride in the fact of knowing that he helped build California, he helped tear it down, and he helped build it back up. Some of David's hobbies were watching old western classics, fishing, going to museums, and making a mean rib.
After 17 years of marriage ended David later met and fell in love with Charlotte McInnis who he married and lived his life with. David and Charlotte started attending the Church of Christ in Duarte Ca. where he dedicated his life to Christ and was baptized.
David is proceeded in death by his wife Charlotte Martinez his father Harold Ervin Sr, his mother Ruth Ervin , 3 siblings Ronald Ervin , Gregory Cunningham, Carmen Graves, and 1 grandson Taylor Le Fall.
David leaves to cherish in his memories 4 siblings Tony, Harold, Linda Ervin and Randy Cunningham, his son David Martinez Jr his daughters Deborah and Damora Martinez, and two bonus children Tanya and Harold-James Adams, 12 grandchildren Vanessa Hatton, La'porcia Austin, David Martinez lll, Jamal Martinez, Chiblis Jenkins, Chianti Thomas, Andrea Love , Kadesha Morgan, Carl McNeil III, Tylynn & Tahj Le fall, 13 great grandchildren and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends that will always love and miss him.
