Donna Lou Barnett

Donna was born on May 1st, 1946 to Grace Ward and Joseph Boyd in Williston, ND. After getting her GED, She went on to Beauty school and opened her own hair salon in Downtown Kirkland. She then worked at Boeing as an Electrical Assembler for 26 years before retiring in 2011.

In 1973, Donna made the choice to get sober and started going to AA meetings. She loved going to meetings, sponsoring and helping others find their sobriety.

She was very proud of her sobriety and would have been 49 years sober on February 28th, 2022.

Donna is survived by Her Daughter, Deniece Walker, Her Son, Douglas Owens, her 3 Grandchildren, Kassie Walker, Aly Owens and Bricen Walker, and her 5 Great-Grandchildren, Drayden Owens, Trevin Walker, Chase Burkett, Jacob Burkett and Nathaniel Walker.

After retiring, Donna loved spending time with her family, knitting and going to AA meetings.

Donna’s Celebration of Life will be held at Juanita Community Club Hall on April 2nd, 2022 from 12-3pm. It will be potluck style- So please bring your favorite fellowship food.

In lieu of flowers, The family requests donations be made to the gofundme that has been set up to help the family with the cremation, celebration of life and medical bills.
