Mark spent his childhood in Baltimore, Maryland, where he made lifelong friends. Mark moved to Charlotte, NC in the early 1990s after a few years in Winston Salem, NC. During Mark’s young adult life, he learned to master his first passion, DJ’ing.
Shortly thereafter, Mark acquired his first computer and spent countless sleepless nights on the phone with various helpdesks learning every aspect of building, repairing, and managing a PC. Mark not only made lasting contributions to the organizations he supported, but also lifelong friendships.
Mark was extremely passionate in all his endeavors, whether it be in his professional life, golf, DJ’ing, photography, or his most recent affection, collecting ink pens.
Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Quentin, grandmothers, “Fram” and Lilian and father, Victor. He is survived by his mother, Jacqueline, wife, Jennifer; brothers, Andre, Jason (wife April), Chris, and Charleston; children, Stefon, Jasmine, Jamal, Anya, and Miles; many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
A memorial service will be held for Mark on March 24, 2018 at 10am, at McEwen Funeral Home, 204 South Main Street, Monroe, with Reverend Michelle Thomas-Bush officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service. Those who so desire may make donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters in honor of Mark.
