Jerry Thomas Howell, age 69, of Monroe, went on his final run up to the highways of gold in Heaven. He was born on March 21, 1948, son of the late Thedduce "T.E." Howell and Hallie Pope Howell. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara R. Howell; his children, Genia Howell Schaffer and husband Ron, Jamie Howell, Jody D. Howell, and Amanda Howell DeCicco and husband Tony; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Michael Howell and wife Brenda, K. Gene Howell and wife Shirley and Tony D. Howell and wife Lisa and loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held 1:00pm Monday, October 16, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
