Born on July 28, 1972, Eric, who many knew him as “Mudflap”, had a passion for trucking, grading, and heavy equipment. He was the owner and operator of E & D Trucking. He also loved and enjoyed motorcycles and the great outdoors. These however, were only surpassed by the love he had for his family and friends. Nothing pleased him more than to gather with them on many occasions around the bonfire. Eric lived life to the fullest, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in the hearts of those he touched.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie M. Evans, Sr. and Betty Jo Evans and Heath and Helen McCorkle; as well as many other dear relatives and close friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Evans; children, Derrick Brian Evans (Morgan), Steve Griffin (Candy), and Stephanie Griffin (Caleb Snead); parents, Willie M. Evans, Jr. and Margaret Evans; brothers, Willie M. Evans III and Michael S. Evans (Holly); sister, Sherranna E. Jenkins (Brandon); nieces and nephews, Jessica and Samantha Evans, Hannah and Hadley Evans, and Peyton and Gunner Jenkins; as well as other great nieces and nephews.
