Curtis Moree

Curtis Moore, 72, of Monroe passed away at home on April 24, 2018. Curtis worked for many years for several dairies including both PET and Biltmore as well as Union Memorial Hospital and the Union County School System. He and his wife were also co-owners of Bloomin’ Furniture. He was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Monroe.

Curtis was predeceased by his parents, Estoria Adams Moree and Vester Moree and his best friend and brother-in-law, Vernon Nash. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nell Nash Moree; daughter, Greta Benton and her husband, Terry; grandson, Andrew Benton; granddaughter, Tara St. Clair and her husband, Mark; great-grandchildren Lilly and Luke St. Clair all of Monroe; sister, Wanda Platts of Myrtle Beach; brothers, Randy Moree and his wife Sheila of Pageland and Homer Moree and his wife Faye of Heath Springs as well as many nieces and nephews and his favorite little cat, “Lobo.”

A visitation will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday April 27 at Grace United Methodist Church with the Memorial Service following at 3:00 pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.
