Billy Keith Richardson entered into Glory on September 11, 2020. He was born in Union County on October 20th, 1932. He was married in 1952 to the love of his life, the late Jerri Helms Richardson. He was the son of the late Henry Richardson and Jean Melton Richardson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Jerri Richardson, two sisters, Betty Estridge and her husband, Charles Estridge, Mary Neal Richardson and one brother, Raeford Richardson. After serving in the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army, Mr. Richardson retired from 32 years of service at ATI in Monroe. He was a member of West Monroe Baptist Church for over 25 years. He enjoyed being outside, fishing and spending time with his family by the pool.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Robinson (Doug) and Pamela Rorie (Dennis); four granddaughters, Crystal Melton (Chris), Heather Honeycutt (Scott), Amanda Rorie and Tiffani Cunningham (Justin); six great-grandchildren, Mallory and Liza Jayne Melton, Aaden and Bryce Honeycutt and Henley Grace and Kannon Cunningham; one niece, Nancy Broome and her family, Scott Broome (Mika), Meredith Nash (Byron) and families; two sisters-in-law, Betty Gordon and Mollie Fox and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:45 pm on Monday September 14 with the service to follow in the McEwen Chapel at 3:00 pm. A graveside with full Military Honors will be held after the service at Lakeland Memorial Park.
