She had a love for reading and worked for many years as a librarian at the Union County Library as well as the Bookmobile and the Outreach Program. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them as well as the rest of her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe S. Maynor as well as her parents, Albert and Magdalene Niehaus. She is survived by her four children; Joanna Maynor, Steve Maynor (Dana), Michelle Mills (Steve), and Joel Maynor (Karen); 7 grandchildren; Ashley Knight (Chris), Alex Mills, Noah Maynor, Leah Maynor, Hannah Maynor, Sarah Maynor, and Olivia Maynor; her three great-grandchildren; Maddox Knight, Dexton Knight, and Brox Knight; as well as her loved nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Lakeland Memorial Park Mausoleum located at 1901 Lancaster Avenue in Monroe, NC from 11:00 to 12:00. A graveside service will follow immediately after at Lakeland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Union County Library as well as St. Jude. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the family of Ann Maynor.
