Nicole was born to her loving parents, Adele (Aldrich) Falco and Larry Falco, in Bridgeport, CT on April 16, 1985.
Nicole (Nin to many who loved her) was a force of energy and life. A daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, she was everything to everyone who loves her.
The spunk and tenacity that she had as a child carried through her whole life, and was passed along to her two children, Ella (7) and Caden (5). These qualities are what made her the “Nin” loved by her family, friends, colleagues, and especially her husband, Brian.
Nicole’s personality could be spotted in her constant energy, unique style, throughout her beautiful and warm home with its color and patterns, in her layers of jewelry (specifically in her nose ring, which only recently made its second appearance), and in the fierce way she showed up in her relationships, friendships, and as an incredibly devoted mother.
Her thoughtfulness shone through in small, sweet gifts “just because it reminded me of you,” in the warmth with which she welcomed anyone into her home for holidays, the kids’ birthdays, for happy hour Fridays, or just any day to sit on the deck and have a cocktail.
Always the planner, convener, hostess, researcher, and creative thinker, there are so many ways that Nicole impacted the lives and experiences of those in her circle. She embodied what it is to be an older sister – ever present and protective when she was needed most, available for fashion advice and to borrow (or steal?) an outfit, for design ideas, and a constant teacher whether she was aware of it or not.
Nicole’s loss will be felt forever, but so will her impact on all of our lives. We’ll see Nicole at the beach, where she loved to go with Brian, Ella and Caden on warm summer days. We’ll see her in a cup of good strong coffee, in a glass of wine or an espresso martini. We’ll feel her love and warmth when we think about our favorite memories and one of her many quips. And we’ll always wish that we could have had more time with her.
Nicole is survived by her husband, Brian; her two children, Ella and Caden; her dogs, Fenway and Poppi; her parents, Adele and Larry; her grandmother, Lori; her sister, Lauren and brother-in-law, Dominic; her brother, Chris and future sister-in-law, Shelby; her mother and father in-law Bob and Florence (Rinaldi) Falkowski; her brother in-law Gary and sister in-law Leslie; and an amazing number of friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 14th at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia, CT at 10am. Interment will follow at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, in Seymour, CT.
