Born in Yonkers NY on January 11,1920 to the late Boleslaw Piotrowski and Lottie Schulz Piotrowski. Henry’s love for sports and politics were fostered in his high school; days as he not only starred in baseball, swimming, and basketball, but also served in student government and was selected Yonkers “Boy Mayor for a Day.” These passions remained with him his entire life as he enjoyed following and debating sports and politics with friends and family. His special joy was playing golf in competition and with his beloved Winnie. Henry served in the U.S. Army during World War II and after honorable discharge went to work for the Remington Arms Co. where he remained for 40 years. Before retirement in 1982, he rose through the ranks to become chief purchasing agent. In addition to his wife Winifred, Henry was predeceased by brothers Stanley and Walter as well as his cherished son-in-law Leonard Brams. He will be dearly missed by his two daughters who were the pride and joy of his life: Nancy Ann Recine and her husband Natalino of Monroe, and Susan Jean Brams of Farmington Hills MI. He is also survived by grandchildren Peter Recine of Monroe, Paul Recine and wife Christine of Seymour, Gina Andersen and husband Brendan of MA, and Jennifer Brams and fiancée Basan Dok of Farmington MI.
