William Normer Overstreet Sr.

William "Normer" Overstreet, Sr. Normer was born in Toulminville July 31, 1942. He died from complications from lung cancer at the age of 70 years old. He graduated from Murphy High School in 1960. He retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. Normer was an avid Crimson Tide fan. "Roll Tide". Normer is preceded in death by his parents, Commie Lee and Annie B. Overstreet; a special aunt C. Vivian Hill Jowers; three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Collins Overstreet; son, William Normer Overstreet, Jr.; our loving pets, Jezziebell and Sheeba, special friends Orvis and Judy Hare, nieces and nephews. His family would like to thank Ochsner Hospital (liver transplant team), Dr, Casey Melton and the entire staff at Providence Hospital and Katie Guest with Springhill Hospice. Normer had a unique personality and will be truly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday April 25, 2013 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Graveside services to follow.
