William was born December 30, 1929, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Ethel Gaines Hagan and William Hall Hagan. William was a graduate of Marion Military Institute and the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was employed his entire career with Lykes Brothers Steamship Company, retiring as Vice President. William traveled the world with his work, living in Europe for two years for training and as a manager of the Manila and Hong Kong offices for seven and two years respectively. He was a longtime member of the Mobile Yacht Club and Biloxi Yacht club. William enjoyed duck Hunting, dove hunting, fishing, and sailing on his beloved sailboat.
William is survived by his sister, Martha Waller; nephew, Joseph Hagan Waller; niece, Melissa Gaines Waller; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
William was preceded in death by his father, William Hall Hagan, and mother, Ethel Gaines Hagan.
A graveside service for William will be held Friday, September 25, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, 1202 Virginia St, Mobile, Alabama 36660 followed by interment.
