He lived his whole live in Mobile County. On December 28,1967 he married the one true love of his life Carolyn Sanburn and for the next 54 years he would introduce her as his bride. Bill enjoyed being with his sons and hunting with them up until his little granddaughter started watching the Bambi movie and cried every time they shot Bambi’s mom, he just couldn’t go deer hunting after that. Bill loved to be on his tractor, any job around the house that needed to be done he would find a way to do it with his tractor. He also loved gardening, especially growing tomatoes. He always planted far more plants than his family could ever use, because he loved being able to give them away to other people. It was the same with his fruit trees - satsumas, blood oranges, grapefruits, plums and pears, more than his family needed so he gave them away too.
Bill loved his grandchildren, they were a true blessing to him and he was so looking forward to his first great grandchild in May.
After many years of prayers by church members Bill joined Snow Road First Baptist Church where he became a member, was saved and baptized. He enjoyed hearing Bro Paul preach his sermons and loved all the friends he made there.
