Walter Bradford Fuller, Sr. passed away peacefully on September 11, 2023 surrounded by love ones. He spent his last days at home reminiscing with family, friends and neighbors, who all gathered to enjoy his company one last time. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Martha Smith Fuller, son Bradford Fuller (Rigg Curtis) and daughters Paige Gates and Shannon Hope (David). He was blessed with 5 grandsons Cole Oliver (Ashley), Fuller Oliver (Kathryn), Brock Oliver, Garrett Hope and Gideon Hope and 2 great grandchildren, Harrison Oliver and Madilynn Oliver. Walt also has one surviving sister Annette Kelly and nephew Richard LaTrelle Brown of Greenville, AL. He is preceded in death by his parents Bradford O’Neal Fuller and Joy Frances Brazell.
After a distinguished 30 year career in the military, he retired as a Major from the US Army. He continued his career with Texas Instruments until retiring to pursue his true passion. Walt was an avid car enthusiast and spent the last 30 years restoring Model A Fords. Walt and Martha enjoyed touring in their Model A’s and participating in local parades. He was also instrumental in the creation of a Model A museum in Hickory Corners, MI at the Gilmore Auto Museum.
Walt has been a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church and will be missed by the parish family. Funeral Services will be held Saturday September 23rd at 10am at Trinity Episcopal Church located at 1900 Dauphin St. Mobile AL 36606.
