Sweet Jackie I am so sorry to hear of the lost of your son. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I think of you often and the time we spent together at McRae’s. I remember all the good times we had.

I have so many memories with the Vickery family all of which started and ended with laughter. So many of you have talked about Tony’s kindness and how sweet he was and all that is true, unless of course you lined up against him in full football gear. Tony was tough, he would make you look for him when the play was live and, in most cases, make you pay if you happened to get in his way or worse you were given the ball to carry. I can remember when practice would end when Vick and I and other teammates would leave in cars to go home. Tony, however, would run home from Baker down Airport Boulevard, get home and work out again. Tony was the epitome of toughness and yes when he would knock you out of your cleats, he would always extend his hand with that Tony grin, to help you get back on your feet. So, I guess that was the kind sweet man so many remember. It's been many years since speaking with Tony and the sad thing is I can’t remember when that time was. Tony will bring many families and friends to come together for one last time on this earth to say goodbye, but for only a short while. I will always remember Tony as a great man that was part of a great community and most importantly a wonderful family with many friends. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow. Rest in peace my brother.

You have your wings now fly high. You were always an Angel on earth and so good to your Mama and I know she is missing you so much and we will keep her in our prayers. Until we see you again enjoy your rewards you deserve them all.

Tony was a gentle and kind person, but a beast on the field! 

I remember a game we were playing and we had to punt. Tony was our punter, but he got cut on the bridge of his nose and it was bleeding pretty good. In the huddle, and I can still hear him saying, "Spread punt on snap, Bo punt on snap!" I was like WHAT. Tony said, "You got this Bo!" The ball was snap (I was a little nervous) and I kicked a perfect spiral, STRAIGHT UP! OMG - I wanted to crawl under the turf. I don't think Tony ever laughed so hard. My Family still talks about that punt today. 

I'm really gonna miss you my Friend.  Till we meet again.

Tony #89 - Bo #44 - Go Hornets!!

As a classmate of Tony's from the 6th to the 12th grade I can confirm what an outstanding, sweet and honest guy.  He was a great football player and I cheered him and the other teammates on as part of the dance team.  My heart is broken as I go back in time and remember all the fun and laugh's we had.  Till we meet again,
