Susan Thornton

Susan was preceded in death by her beloved step-father Charles Andrew Baumhauer, Jr, her father, John Emmett Thornton, her five cats and three dogs. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah, her mother Shirley Baumhauer, two sisters Sonja and Sheryl, and one brother, John Ashley. She is also survived by her three nieces Tiffany, Traci, and Lindsay, her cousins, and numerous friends, both old and new.

Susan was a proud mother, loving sister and daughter, loyal friend, extremely hard worker, and a profound animal lover. Her greatest achievement of all was becoming a mother to her daughter. Her greatest love was Sarah, second her family, and then her beloved pets, including Smoky Kitty, Clyde the Dog, beloved Boo Boo Kitty, Jack the Cat, Kelly Kitten, Little Kitty, Tigger the Dog, and Casey the Dog, too.

Although Susan left this world far too early, she passed surrounded by love from her friends and family and is watching down on everyone she loved most

A visitation for Susan will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 DAUPHIN ISLAND PKWY, MOBILE, AL 36605. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 DAUPHIN ISLAND PKWY, MOBILE, AL 36605.
