Sarah Frances Milstead

Sarah Frances (Sally) Milstead was a native of Lebanon, Missouri and a resident of Mobile for 31 years. She passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011 at her home in Mobile. Sally was born in Kansas City, MO. She was a graduate of the school of Journalism at the University of Missouri and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was an active member of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church and participated in many other charitable organizations, including Meals on Wheels, the Oakleigh Historic District, and the Junior Miss Organization. Sally was an active alumnus of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Sally loved Mobile, loved to play bridge, and especially enjoyed Mardi Gras and Dauphin Island. Sally was a vibrant giving person who touched the lives of everybody she came into contact with. Sally will join her father, T. Victor Jeffries, and mother, Jesse Winfrey Jeffries, who preceded her in death. Sally is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank Milstead. She was the loving mother of three sons who also survived her: Gary (Jude Ann), Jeff (Linda), and David (Lee), and 5 grandchildren: Bailey, Quinn, Ross, Elizabeth, and Christian. The visitation will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church and the service will follow there at 11:00 a.m. All donations and memorials should be sent to Dauphin Way United Methodist Church.
