Sara Ann Carr Samuels, age 86, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016. She was born in Lineville, AL and was a native of Rockford, AL. She is preceded in death by her husband, David F. Samuels, parents, Luther O. and Euna Rebecca Carr and siblings, Virginia McEwen and Owen Carr. Ms. Samuels was a graduate of Jacksonville State University. She taught high school and middle school Art and English, retiring after 30 years at Apopka Middle School in Apopka, FL. She was a gifted artist and authored a book entitled “Why Wait Lose The Weight” after losing over 50 lbs. She was a lady of great faith and strong love of her country. She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother and grandmother. Ms. Samuels is survived by her daughters, Kay Roach (Randy) and Jan Lawrence (Larry). She is also survived by her sister, Jane Alexander, four grandchildren, Jason Roach, Kyle Roach (Jennifer), Leanne Lawrence, Sherry Blenden (Graham) and five great-grandchildren, Lily Roach, Christian Roach, Grayson Roach, Tanner Roach and Carter Roach. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 fromt 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.at Homestead Village Chapel in Fairhope, AL In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be offered to the Church of His Presence Daphne AL, P.
