Ronald Edwin Gray

Dr. Gray was born in Meridian, Mississippi, the only child to Edwin and Doris Gray, and attended Millsaps College and the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He practiced Radiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center; The Radiological Group, P.A. in Jackson, Mississippi; and at University of South Alabama Medical Center. He was a Fellow in the American College of Radiology. Ron enjoyed spending time with family and friends on Ono Island, crabbing and fishing. He also enjoyed his cats and his Newfoundland dogs.

Dr. Gray is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sheila Towey Gray. He is also survived by his aunt, Alice J. Woodard of Meridian, Mississippi; cousins, Bill Gray of Meridian, Mississippi; Bridgette Singley of Pachuta, Mississippi; Bobbie Martin of Brandon, Mississippi; and his in-laws, the Towey family.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon.

A reception will be held at the family residence in Mobile immediately following the service.
