Paul Burnett Gantt, 61, of Irvington, AL passed away with his loving wife by his side at his home on Friday, December 28, 2018. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, Alabama football, and his dogs. He worked for Mobile Abrasives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Marcellus Gantt.
Paul is survived by his wife, Diane Schlude Gantt; daughter, Samantha (Josh) Eldridge of Lynn Haven, FL; mother, Eileen Gantt of Lynn Haven, FL; sisters, Donna (Lewis) Baber and Bonnie O’Rourke, both of Lynn Haven, FL; brother, Dean (Betty Jean) Gantt of Mobile, AL; nephews, Brian (Jessica) Baber and Blake (Sheena) Baber, both of Lynn Haven, FL and Tony (Donna) Harrison of Phoenix, AZ; as well as grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers, and four very loved rescue pups – Knox, Boo, Emmy, and Abby.
Pallbearers will be: Lewis Baber, Blake Baber, Mike Schlude, Bobby Schlude, Gary Johnston, and Joshua Johnston.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at Pine Crest Funeral Home, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway.
