He was well known for being an enthusiastic parent and fan and excelled at coaching from the stands. He loved food, especially Uncle Buddy’s BBQ, family meals at Gamma’s, and Thanksgiving at Barbara’s, his sister. Another of Lloyd’s favorite pastimes was watching Alabama football. He was a passionate, loyal and loud fan, and never missed a game.
Lloyd was also an accomplished musician, learning to play the guitar at a young age, and played and sang at church and other venues in Eutaw, then later in a band in college. His favorite music group was The Circuit Riders. Lloyd would not miss a Circuit Riders performance at Christ United Methodist Church.
Lloyd was also a black belt in Tang Soo Do Karate, participating in many tournaments, obtaining several gold medals. Lloyd also taught Karate at the YMCA with Steve Diaz for many years.
