Matthew Charles Cox, age 21, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 27, 2018. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert O. Cox, Jack J. Bates, and great-grandfather, Charles B. Brown. Matthew was an exceptional young man who had a passion for country music, Alabama football, Nascar, Jimmy Johnson was his favorite driver, and mac n cheese. He loved to sing and was full of laughter. Matthew’s entire family would like to express their thanks to the community for its thoughts, prayers and expressions of love for Matthew. Matthew was an “angel in human clothing,” who left a positive impact on every life he touched. Matthew loved everyone and everyone loved Matthew. His entire life was marked by the innocence and affection that only a child can have. He will be dearly missed. Matthew is survived by his father, Ryan Cox (Kelli) and Heather Cox (Delos). He is also survived by his brother, Zachary Ryan Cox, sister, Emma Grace Cox, grandparents, Shari L. Cox, Carol and Bill Easterwood, Devitt and Patricia Fountain, great-grandmother, Patricia Fletcher, his Uncle Jeremy, and his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other family. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A celebration of Matthew’s life will begin at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Pine Crest West Cemetery, Snow Road, Mobile, AL. Memorial donations may be offered to the Autism Society of Alabama @ https//www.autism-alabama.org.
