Marsha Diane Murphy

Celebration of Life services for Marsha Diane Murphy, 59, will be held Friday, May 31, 2019, in the Pine Crest Funeral Home Chapel, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama 36605. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama.

The family will be receiving guests for visitation on Friday, May 31, 2019, from 1:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM at Pine Crest Funeral Home.

Marsha Diane Murphy was born September 8, 1959, Mobile, Alabama, to the late, Billy Travis and Lottie Mae Hurd Murphy. She was called to her Heavenly home May 24, 2019 in Mobile, Alabama. Marsha attended Christ United Methodist Church in Mobile, Alabama. She was the light and spice of our family. Marsha had a heart for special needs individuals and was very involved with MARC. She enjoyed visiting her cousin Billy at his group home and did so every chance she had. Marsha loved her family, and had a special place in her heart for all her nieces and nephews. It brought her so much joy to stay current in their lives. Marsha had three favorite times of the year: Summer, Mardi Gras and Christmas, mainly because these were times during the year when our family would gather. She truly enjoyed these times, any time, when she was surrounded by family, friends, good times, and miles of beach. If there was a trip of any kind to be had – you better bet she was packed and ready before anyone else! Marsha loved her some Nick Saben and Alabama football, but not as much as she loved Randy Owens and her Alabama country music.

She was preceded in death by her father; Billy Travis Murphy and her mother; Lottie Mae Hurd Murphy.

Marsha leaves behind her sister and two brothers who will miss her dearly, Rosemary, Kenny, and Charles, their spouses, her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Most of all she loved her Heavenly Father!
