Lorin Dale Sealy, known by most of his friends and extended family as “Pepper” or “Uncle Pepper,” was born August 17, 1947, in California, Pennsylvania. As a child, he enjoyed skating on the frozen rivers in Pennsylvania, which led to him being a lifelong hockey fan.
Destiny eventually brought Pepper south to Mobile, Alabama, where he met the love of his life, Patricia “Patsy” Barlow Sealy. They built a beautiful life together full of love, laughter and dedication. Pepper was also a dedicated employee of AT&T for over 30 years. Pepper was an amazing artist and craftsman. He painted many beautiful landscapes and built his own frames for them. He enjoyed sharing his pieces with people that were closest to his heart. Pepper was full of laughter and mischief and always strived to keep everyone’s spirits high. On Fridays, he could be found at his favorite watering hole, reminiscing with his buddies about his life adventures, the big fish that got away, the best play of the week and so much more.
Pepper is proceeded in death by his father, Paul Sealy; mother, Kathryn Sealy and beloved wife and fishing buddy, Patricia “Patsy” Barlow Sealy.
He is survived by many family members and close friends including his niece, Sheila Robinson, confidant and best friend, Eddie Weaver and favorite girl, Tootie Henderson.
Pepper was a very private person, but those that were close to him were blessed to witness what a loving and generous soul he truly was. His infectious smile and gentle personality will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Pepper passed away in his home, Wednesday, October 2, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
