Lillian Amelda Stauter Dorgan, native of Mobile, Alabama, passed away at the age of 97 on September 1st, 2023. She Retired from the U.S. Corps of Engineers in 1990 after 23 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Chapter 422 Eastern Stars, Mobile Infirmary West Auxiliary, and assisted in Vacation Bible School at Government Street Baptist Church and Riverside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents George D. Stauter and Lillian Tucker, husband Gerald (Jerry) Dorgan, sons Larry J. and Jerry Jr., grandson Jay Boothe, son-in-laws Clifford Boothe, Timothy Morgan, and sister Eunice Stauter Dorgan.
She is survived by her children Linda Boothe (Montevallo, AL), Karen Morgan (Mobile, AL), Richard (Ricky) and Debbie Dorgan (Daphne, AL);grandchildren Wendy Argo, Benjamin Boothe (Montevallo, AL), Jessica Lord, Ricki Dorgan, Jonathan Dorgan (Daphne, AL), Brittany Morgan (Denver, CO), and Joseph Morgan (Mobile, AL); great-grandchildren Savannah Whitlock and Andrew Argo (Randolph, Alabama), Lily Perry, Abby Perry, and Eva Ernst (Daphne, AL); siblings George Stauter (Mobile, AL), Verna Jean Mcclam (South Carolina), Madeline Melton Diamond (Mobile, AL), and Marian Fultz (Fairhope, AL); family and friends of Government Street Baptist Church, Riverside Baptist Church, and St. Dominic Catholic Church.
