Larry E. McInnis, born April 23, 1948, in Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024. A proud Navy Veteran who served in Vietnam, Larry retired from Biehl Shipping after many years of service.
His survivors include his wife Ana, his daughter Karla A. McInnis, his sister Bonnie R. Potts, and Many nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis E. McInnis and Velma A. McInnis, his sister, Audrey J. Jones, and his nephew, Roger D. Shepherd.
Larry grew up in the Crichton area of Mobile, attending Sydney Phillips and Murphy High School. He served as a radio operator in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S. Little Rock and then returned home. After serving as a dispatch officer for the Mobile Police Department, Larry began his career in the marine industry as a Shipping Agent, and he retired in 2017.
Larry’s greatest joys came from spending time with the family, hunting, and watching college football.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A burial mass will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, with a graveside service immediately following at Serenity Gardens.
