Joseph Gregory Leonard Jr.

Joseph "Joey" Leonard - A native and resident of Mobile, AL passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 in Birmingham, AL. Mr. Leonard was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in the #666 Council, member of the Mobile Botanical Gardens, Mobile Chapter SPCA, two Mardi Gras Associations (one Mystic society and Cain Raisers Society). He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Mr. Leonard was a 1974 graduate of McGill Institute, Spring Hill College in 1978 and the University of South Alabama in 1991.He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joe G. Leonard and Peggy Leonard Theiss.Survivors include his wife, Sandee Krause Leonard; one daughter, Melody Elmore (Mike) Hilyer of Opelika, AL; two brothers, Andrew T. (Millie) Leonard of Huntersville, NC and Casey F. Leonard of Birmingham, AL; one grand-daughter, Ashley Payne Hilyer of Opelika, AL; and niece, Sophie Mary-Corrine Leonard of Mobile, AL.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednes-day, September 15, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. from Little Flower Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to services.
