Joseph Madison Barnes, age 80, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021. Joseph was born August 28, 1941 in Mobile. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Myrtle Barnes, daughter, Angela N. Barnes and sister Barbara Linder.
Joe was a 1959 graduate of Theodore High School and served his country honorably in the United States Navy, entering immediately after high school. He was employed in the shipping business in the Mobile area for many years and was a member of Luke 4:18 Fellowship.
Mr. Barnes is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Walker Barnes and daughter and son-in-law Sherri B. and Leslie Fisher. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Tristan Leigh Bradley, and five great-grandchildren; Arianna, Samiah, Neill, Lucy and Jet.
The family will receive friends and family at Luke 4:18 Fellowship on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until service time of 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens with Military honors.
