Jacqueline Katherine Callender

Kay was born and raised in mobile. She was a resident of Orange Beach. She was a graduate of Murphy High School and attended Auburn University. She married her high school sweetheart, William Edward Callender on September 5, 1958. She was an active military spouse working on and off post to improve the lives of others. She was a successful real estate agent. Her greatest success was raising her children as “Army brats”.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Catherine Bachar; brother, Glen r. Bachar; husband, William E. Callender; son, William E. Callender, Jr. and grandson, Chase Callender.

Kay is survived by her daughters, Virginia C. Hawkins (John), Cynthia C. Cowen (Byron), Tamara C. Eubanks (Doug Turnipseed) and 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway.
