Grace Hatcher Turner

She was a loving wife, mother and “Meme” to her family and will be missed greatly. She was a member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church for 59 years where loved her Sunday School class and enjoyed participating in the choir and senior adult program until recent years.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Malachi Hatcher and Gertrude Shiver Hatcher; husband, John Lewis Turner Sr; daughter, Glenda Anne McGill; and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Patti (Rusty) Murray of Fairhope, AL and son, John (Cathy) Turner of Pascagoula, MS; 8 grandchildren, Brad (Libby) McGill, Auburn, AL; Jennifer McGill, Mobile, AL; Ashley Hurst, Mobile, AL; Holly (Jonathan) Hooks, Birmingham, AL; Brandon (Allison) Turner, McDonough, GA; Will (Tiffany) Murray, Fairhope, AL; Emilee (Tim) Wall, Pascagoula, MS; and Jackson Murray, Fairhope, AL; 22 great-grandchildren, Molly McGill, Margaret McGill, Allen McGill, Faith Hurst, Laura Catherine Hurst, Jonathan Hooks Jr, Spencer Hooks, Mary Claire Hooks, Andrew Hooks, Camille Hooks and Catherine Hooks, Samuel Turner, Nathan Turner, Annabella Murray, Max Murray, Joshuah Seals, Allie Seals, Ethan Wall, Alex Wall, Noah Wall, Sarah Wall and Mason Wall; one sister, Opal Brooks, Camilla, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL. The family will receive friends at 10 am. until service time at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile, AL.
