George Donahue Peterson, Jr., age 74, of Mobile passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

George was born in Mobile to George Peterson, Sr. and Margaret Peterson on December 31, 1947. George graduated from LaSalle University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He served as a sergeant in the United States Air Force and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. George worked as an instrumentation engineer for Holcim for 33 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking, electronics, amateur radio, computing, photography, and amateur architecture.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Donahue Peterson, Sr. and Margaret Gertrude Peterson; and daughter, Laura Denise Phillips. He is survived by his son, Phillip Peterson (Tiffany); grandchildren, Bradley Peterson and Bennett Peterson; and brother, Thomas Peterson.

A memorial visitation for George will be held Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile, Alabama, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
