Evelyn Tamanthia (Owens) Long

Evelyn Tamanthia Owens Long, born December 18, 1966 in Mobile Alabama to Evelyn Bernice Rester Owens and Larry Earl Owens Sr. who proceeded her in reaching their heavenly home. Tammi went to be with her parents and precious Lord in heaven on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 3 AM. She left her loving husband, William Matthew (Matt) Long; her brother, Larry Earl Owns Jr. (Rusty); son, Joshua Lee Havens; and Tamara Havens Hudson.

Tammy graduated from Mary G. Montgomery high school in 1985. She became a cosmetologist before choosing to be a wife and homemaker. Tammi had realized her goal as a mother when she gave birth to Joshua Lee and Evelyn Tamara. She delighted in raising her children and serving the Lord. She was a powerful prayer minister and evangelist.

Tammi was the proud grandmother of Cameryn and Hailey Hudson. She also leaves behind, her uncle Johnny Rester as well as family and friends.

Tammi loved fishing, hunting, camping, reading her Bible, worshipping and conversing with her Lord. Her favorite color and flower were peach roses. Her favorite dessert was Blue Berry Delight.

Evelyn Tammi Long will be memorialized on Saturday, March 26th at 2 PM. Service will be held at Isaiah 61 Ministries, 4905 St. Stephens Rd., Eight Mile, AL 36613. Fellowship to follow.

Memorial donations to organization of your choice as follows: mental health facilities in honor of her daughter Tamara, diabetes foundations in honor of the Long and Owens family, stroke foundations in honor of Evelyn Bernice Owens and Isaiah 61 Ministries in honor of Evelyn Tammi Long. Donations of Flowers can be delivered to Isaiah 61 Ministries, 4905 St. Stephens Rd., Eight Mile, AL. 36613, the morning of the 26th until service begins.
