Eva Arrington Macon, born November 17, 1929, was a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama. She departed from this life at her residence on Saturday, December 12, 2015. A committed servant and Presbyterian, she remained involved in church throughout her entire life. She was first a member of Central Presbyterian church, later becoming a member of the congregation at Springhill Presbyterian and serving as a Deacon and an Elder. In addition to her commitment to faith, Mrs. Macon had many other interests. She was an avid reader, gardener, and an advocate and lover of all the neighborhood children and animals. However, her children and grandchildren brought her the greatest pleasure. The devotion she had to her family was evident in her work with her husband’s business, Macon Drugs. Her loving spirit and sharp mind served as a shining light to those closest to her.
Mrs. Macon was preceded in death by her parents, Cicero Paul Roberts and Sarah Arrington Roberts, her husband, Paul Vernon Macon, Sr., a brother, Franklin Roberts, and a sister, Mary Julia Roberts.
She is survived by four children, Paul Vernon (Debbie) Macon, Jr., William Henry (Celia) Macon, Caroline Macon (Michael) Montalban, and Sarah Macon (Danny) Clarke, a brother, Henry Arrington (Barbara) Roberts, a sister Caroline Roberts Dean, nine grandchildren,
