Ernest Worth "Ernie" Collins III

Ernest Worth "Ernie" Collins, III - Ernie, born October 20, 1947, passed away on October 13, 2013. He was a resident of Mobile for the past 65 years. Ernie retired from Alabama Power after 44 years of service. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Ernie is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Ann Maples Collins; step-son, Joe Sanford; brother, Michael Thomas Collins (Teresa); sisters, Jean Collins Davis (Mike) and Terry Ann Jones (Aubie, deceased); step-grandchildren, Joey, Jaimie, and Lisa Sanford; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Jo Holman (Buster), Jeff Maples (Jane), Sandra Keevan, and Patricia Linton.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at 12 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
