Edna Richmond Whillock

Edna Richmond Whillock, age 81, passed away on June 6, 2013. A memorial service will be held at the Dauphin Way United Methodist Church chapel on Tuesday, June 11, at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception at the church.

She was born April 3, 1932, in Amit County, MS to Charles Richmond and Ione Wisner Richmond. She graduated from high school in Foley, Alabama and was a long-time resident of Mobile. She was preceded in death by daughter Frances Lea Taylor, husband Allan A. Whillock and brother-in-law Creighton Jones.

She is survived by sons George Allan Whillock, James Richmond Whillock, son-in-law Howard Taylor, sisters Joyce Jones and Glenda (Carl) Slater, granddaughters Christy Allison and Novita Whillock, grandson Charles Whillock and great grandson Layne Smith.

Mrs. Whillock was a longtime member of the Dauphin Way United Methodist church and was active in the choir. She had a love of music and the gift of a beautiful voice.
