Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Lee, age 88, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 after a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Dempsey Lee and Ed Essex and son, Danny Essex. Mrs. Lee retired after many years of service with the State of Alabama in Personnel. She was a longtime member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother and “Mimi”. Mrs. Lee is survived by her daughter, Patt Evans and step-daughter, Amy Lee. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lori Huguley (Hal), Michael Evans (Luciene), Michelle Martin (Jeff), Reid Evans (Tina) and eight great-grandchildren.
