Mr. Charles Edward “Bud” Moody – age 80; died Thursday, May 10, 2012. Mr. Moody was born in Chickasaw, AL to Harry Edward Moody and Maude Lee Moody on November 18, 1931. He lived in Mobile, AL for most of his life and retired from Scott Paper Company after 39 years of service. Bud graduated from Robertsdale High School in 1950. Survivors include his loving and beloved wife of 26 years Geraldine “Jeri” Waddell Moody; his sister, Mary Ruth (Lonza) Lewis: his daughter, Regina Gail (John) Seeling; his loving sister-in-law, Kate Boswell; his granddaughter, Rachel (Neil) Swartz; his niece, Ashley Holland (Vic) Miller; his nephew, Ray (Marion) Lewis; his wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Miller, Kinsey Miller, Katey Miller, Jalei Freeman, Orion Swartz, and Stone Swartz. Bud was preceded in death by his father, Harry Edward (July 1981) and mother, Maude Lee (April 2003). Bud was honorably discharged by the U. S. Air Force in 1955 with multiple decorations. Bud was a member of Bowen Masonic Lodge #240 F & AM, the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, and the Abba Temple Shrine. Bud was a former member of the Conde Cavaliers Mystic Society. Bud wanted to recognize his close friends Dr. Gary and Golda Elmore, Arven and Margaret Owens, Billy and Gloria Welch, Charlie and Sandy Taylor, and Winston and Reba Johns. Bud was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 13, 2012 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday, May 14, 2012 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Spiller officiating. Pallbearers will be Vic Miller, Nicholas Miller, Neil Swartz, John Seeling, Billy Welch, Charlie Taylor, Ray Lewis, and Skipper Bowling. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
