Barbara Joyce Puckett

Barbara Bell Harvey Puckett, 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 4, 2021. She was a lifelong native and resident of Mobile, except the last few years where she resided in Fairhope. Barbara and her husband Fletcher Harvey, Jr. owned and operated Fletcher’s BBQ in Mobile for over 50 years. She also retired from International Paper Company. Barbara was a lifelong member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church. She had a deep love and devotion for the Lord, and she spent her life serving Him in any way she could. Barbara was an extremely nurturing and loving woman to all she met. She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother.

Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband of 48 years, Fletcher Harvey, Jr.; second husband of 5 years, Bill Puckett; parents, John Allen and Goldie Bell; sister, Dorothy Lewis; and brother, John Read Bell.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Harvey Dutton (Glenn); grandchildren, Kristina Dutton Crocker (Henry), Bradley Fletcher Dutton (fiancée, Karlee Kunkle), Brandon Irwin Dutton, and Kelsey Ann Goldie Dutton; five great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and other cherished family and friends.

Friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Barbara on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Pine Crest Cemetery.
