Amanda Louise Jackson, a native of Escambia County Alabama was born on April 20, 1917 to Homer Jackson and Savannah Jackson. Amanda was a welcome addition to the Jackson family, who followed God’s plan and trained her up in the way she should go…So at an early age she received the Lord Jesus as her own personal savior and Lord. After her acceptance of her gift of salvation, she united with the Church and was baptized at Second Shady Grove Baptist Church of Brewton, Alabama.
Amanda attended Alabama State college where she earned a Bachelor and Masters degree in education. She was employed with the Mobile County School system, where she retired after many years of service.
Amanda was preceded in death by her parents: Homer and Lovelace Jackson; one (1) son William Jackson; one (1) sister Voncile Mosley, one (1) Homer Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving and devoted son, Bernard Jackson; a devoted niece Linda Benjamin and a devoted nephew, Dr. Richard Benjamin; devoted friends Mr. & Mrs. Charles Henry King, Mr. & Mrs. John Peoples, Jr, Theresa Sanderson, Emma Green and a host of cousins, nieces nephews, relatives and friends.
