Alfred Reese Sr. AKA "Rooster" was born March 28, 1948 to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Wilkes (Willie Mae) Reese in Sardis, Alabama. He confessed and accepted Christ at an early age and united in membership with New Bethel Baptist Church in Sardis, Alabama later becoming a resident of Mobile, Alabama. He started his first business opening the Gibson Street Convenience Store in the mid-1980's. He established several other businesses in the 1990's and they were Reese Service Center and Reese Convenience Store and Two Spot Liquor Store. He operated numerous businesses up until his health began to fail. He exchanged life for eternity peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Rooster (as he was affectionately known) was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mamie Farris; and his brother, Willie James Reese.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories a loving and devoted daughter, Ms. Kimberly A. Reese; and his son, Mr. Alfred Reese Jr.; three grandchildren, Master Anthony T. Anderson, Miss Kalea Anderson, and Master Alfred Reese III; his godson, Mr. Edward Lane; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends who loved and cherished him dearly.
