Raul Humberto Gonzalez Jr., age 38, of Edinburg, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, while serving honorably as a Border Patrol Agent. Raul was a graduate of Economedes High School in Edinburg, TX. Raul went on to attend the Border Patrol Academy graduating class 980. His love of the country made him a stellar agent proudly serving 10 + years, ultimately resulting in his tragic death.
Raul is survived by his loving children; Sebastian Gonzalez; and Camila Gonzalez; his father Raul Humberto Gonzalez (Ester); his brother Carlos Gonzalez; his grandmother Maria G. Gonzalez, his girlfriend; Yvonne Tammy Martinez, his aunt's and uncles; Magdalena Rodriguez (Daniel), Yolanda Vasquez (Alejandro),Oralia Gonzalez, Victoria Gonzalez Ramirez (Raul), their aunt Lupita Guzman (Santiago), their uncle Eulalio Gonzalez Jr., Saul Gonzalez (Claudia), Mauro Gonzalez (Beatriz) and Santos Gonzalez (Sandra).
Raul was preceded in death by his grandfather Eulalio Gonzalez.
A Visitation for Raul will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel, Mission, TX., and a prayer service at 7:00 PM. A Chapel Service will occur Monday, December 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM, at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission, TX., and a burial to follow at 11:00 AM at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, Pharr, TX.
