Luis L. Moreno

McALLEN, TX. — Luis Moreno Leija passed from this life to the presence of God on Friday, February 6, 2015, at the age of 80. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Guadalupe Moreno Mata and Sabina Leija Benavidez de Moreno and his siblings, Juan, Hector and Maria Ines. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Antonia Elizondo de Moreno and their two children Luis “Chacho” Moreno and Evangelina Moreno-Hernandez (Javier), four grandchildren, Elizette Monique, Javier Jr., Luis Eduardo and Gerardo Julian. He is also survived by his siblings, Jose Guadalupe, Javier, Diego and many nephews and nieces.

A visitation will be held today, Monday, February 9, 2015 at Funeraria del Angel located at 3611 N. Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78573 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary following thereafter at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in McAllen. Burial will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens located at 3605 N. Taylor Road, Mission, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria del Angel in Mission, a dignity memorial provider.
