It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Humberto Mendiola, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and dedicated Army veteran, who left us peacefully on December 4, 2024, at the age of 92.
Born on January 24, 1932, in Los Ebanos, TX. Humberto lived a life marked by service, love, and resilience. He enlisted in the United States Army at a young age and served honorably where he earned several commendations for his bravery and commitment to his country. After returning home, Humberto carried the values of duty and integrity into his civilian life, becoming a respected member of his community.
Humberto was married to his loving wife, Armida, for 68 wonderful years. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising five children: Nelia, Sergio, Emma, Ruben, and Ricky. Humberto legacy continues through his children and his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored him dearly. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a devoted family man who took great pride in their achievements and loved sharing stories of his adventures with them.
Funeral service will be held in his honor on Saturday, December 7th at 12 PM at Funeraria del Angel, McAllen TX
Humberto Mendiola will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a true hero, devoted family man, and a friend to all. May he rest in peace.

A rosary will occur Friday, December 6, 2024 at 6:00 PM, 3611 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78573. A funeral will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 PM, 3611 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78573. A burial and military honors will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Valley Memorial Gardens, 3605 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78572.
