Dr. Benjamin Bujanda

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Benjamin Bujanda, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and respected family practitioner. He passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas, on December 31, 2024 at the age of 82. Dr. Bujanda had a notable career as a medical doctor in McAllen, Texas, where he made a remarkable impact on the field of family medicine, earning the respect of his colleagues, patients, and staff. His dedication to his work and kindness to those around him will always be remembered.

Dr. Benjamin Bujanda was born on August 5, 1942 and moved to the United States in January 1974 to pursue his medical career. He continued his practice in McAllen, Texas, where he spent many years treating patients with compassion, expertise, and tireless commitment.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Bujanda was a loving and devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 46 years, Cyndi Bujanda, and their children: Marissa Ann, Christopher Benjamin (Emily), and Phillip Andrew (Megan). His grandchildren, Isabella Bujanda, Analena Bujanda, and Cruz Benjamin Bujanda, were the light of his life. He is also survived by his niece Carmen Leticia Molina Bujanda (Marco) and nephews, Luis Gerardo Molina Bujanda (Marcela) and Pablo Roberto Molina Bujanda from Monterrey, Mexico. Benjamin's love for his family was immeasurable, and his unwavering support, kindness, and warmth will always be cherished.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Geminiano Bujanda and Maria Villalobos de Bujanda. His sibling, Dolores Bujanda, Geminiano Bujanda, Maria Del Carmen Bujanda (Roberto Molina).

Dr. Benjamin Bujanda will be greatly missed. His exceptional compassion, expertise, and unwavering dedication to his profession and family have left a lasting mark that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace.

There will a Rosary for Dr. Bujanda held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2201 Martin Ave, McAllen, TX 78504, at 11:00AM, Thursday, January 9, 2025. The funeral Mass will be after the rosary at 11:30AM. Burial is scheduled for 1:00PM Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Valley Memorial Gardens, 3601 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78573.
