She was born on November 17, 1937 in Charlotte, NC to the late Brady and Thelma Benfield.
Elsie loved everyone and was loved by many.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James Franklin Bailey; sons, James Talvage Bailey (Margaret) and William Franklin Bailey; grandchildren, Gloria Lee Bailey, Michael James Bailey, and Jamie Taylor; great grandchildren, Matthew Nichols, Savannah, Joshua and Kaleb Bailey.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, the 4th of November, 2016 at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
